At Below the Roots Alchemy we strive to give you the very best that nature has to offer – whether it’s vibrant houseplants, herbal tinctures, homeopathic remedies, or just good ole’ Southern conversation.

All of our plants are grown in-house, or thoughtfully sourced from trusted East Coast nurseries. Each one is nurtured with homemade soil blends and inspected with care. Our tinctures and natural remedies are handcrafted with high-quality ingredients and whole lot heart.

I started this business of raising and growing plants out of a dream I had.
Today that dream is a reality, with over 20+ different varieties of plant species (and growing!) for sale as well as well as herbal tinctures and homemade remedies that we make from purely organic herbs and carefully sourced ingredients.

Below the Roots Alchemy is ran by me – Augusta Shurburtt.
I’m a wife to a navigator of the stars, a mother to two wild-hearted kids, 8 spirited chickens, 2 energetic dogs, and 3 rescue cats named Pixie, Stella, and Luna. Together, we help ensue that both our home – and this business – are filled with purpose, love, and just the right amount of chaos.
